|Exeter's Apple Events|
Flow will be a Ribbon Orchard of fruits, nuts and berries running from Exwick to Double Locks. It is designed to provide an enhanced foraging corridor for insects, animals and humans as well as create a cultural resource. Created by Anne-Marie Culhane working with residents of St Thomas and Exwick.

Planting from noon in Exwick at Mill Field (map) near Station Road Bridge; followed by a celebration at dusk. Refreshments via Andy's Cafe located in the grounds of St Andrews Church on Station road, right next to the Parish Hall, opposite the park.
Planting from noon at Trews Weir Relief (map), 10 mins walk South of Exeter Quay off main cycle route (next to allotments). Followed by celebration at dusk. Refreshments via Emma's Boatyard Bakery on the Haven Road (South) side of the Piazza Terracina, nestled next to the Exeter Cookery School, 60b Haven Rd, EX2 8DB.

This unique family festival takes place in Sparrow Park Orchard on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October 2017. Join in the celebration of National Apple Day with live music, children's activities and award-winning Killerton cider and apple juice, family fun and the best in local food, bands, and cider.
This year the festival's theme will be apple myths and folklore:
Adult tickets are £6, children are £3. National Trust members and under 5's are free. Tickets only available on the door. Open from 10:00am - 5:00pm both days.
A Quay-side celebration of the apple season at the Boatyard Bakery & Cafe, Haven Road (next to the Cookery School). At lunchtime, I'll be doing a pressing demo on a small manual press and talking about my juices, cordials and ciders.
I'll be launching my new cider, Aflame 7%, available to take away or with the evening 3 course meal (booking required) with delights such as: Parsnip & Apple Soup, Apple Sour Dough, Pork & Apple Stuffing, Apple & Celeriac Dauphinoise Potatoes, Tart Tatin and more. Veggie, Vegan and non-alcoholic options available as always.

Come and enjoy a toasty mug of mulled cider at Shillingford Organics Green Christmas Fayre. Meet with ethical local producers and find out exactly what goes into their produce. Food, drinks, art, crafts, cosmetics, childrens activities and more. We'll have bottled juice and cider on sale, as well as draft mulling cider, ideal for those Xmas socials. All handcrafted from local orchards, in support of local apples, but without the additives and excess packaging found on supermarket shelves.
Limited parking £3/car - perferably take "A" bus to Smithfield Road and follow signs on Shillingford Road for free Tractor/Trailer rides (about every 15 mins).
As the sun changes position in the sky and the shadows grow longer we start to prepare for our Apple and Pumpkin Day. This year it’s held on the 23rd October 11am-4pm @ West Town Farm, Ide, EX2 9TG. We have tractor rides, pumpkin carving, apple pressing, Poco Drom performing his wild and wonderful songs about animals, a BBQ and cafe, and many more things for you to come and explore.
Love Local Food is working with the Harvest Shop and Okehampton Primary School to do an apple pressing and celebration of local apples in the Red Lion Yard, Okehampton on Friday 21st October 10 - 3. Contact Love Local Food for more details.

Bring your apples to press into juice, using our super efficient trailer press, Pomona. Display of local varieties, tasting, refreshments and farm activities. Come and look around Broadclyst Community Farm we are down the road from Clyst Vale in Station Road 2nd driveway on right after Sandy Lane. Children must be supervised.
Come and join us at Shillingford Organics for a free Farm Community Apple Day on the 25th of September 2016. We will be harvesting and tasting different apple varieties together, as well as has having an 'appley' lunch, tractor and trailor rides and much more!
